The platform FOOTBALL.IE gives you an excellent opportunity to experience your football enthusiasm with other like-minded football fans. The FOOTBALL.IE community serves to establish contacts and social networks in the field of football.

The offer to participate in the FOOTBALL.IE community is provided by the FAI, National Sports Campus, Abbotstown, Dublin 15 under the domain FOOTBALL.IE and related mobile offers (hereinafter referred to as "FOOTBALL.IE") within the framework of the technical and operational possibilities such as competition management & match reporting. The FAI understands that it is part of its responsibility to protect the information and data entrusted to it. Data protection principles such as data minimization, transparency and security are the main priorities the FAI in cooperating with its member associations and affiliated companies. In order to enable participation in the FOOTBALL.IE community and to ensure the best possible use of the individual functionalities, among other things, we also have to collect, store and process personal data from you for these purposes. The protection and security of personal data is a serious concern to us. Therefore, we process your personal data only under consideration of the relevant legal provisions.

1. NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE

The person(s) responsible for the processing of your personal data is the FAInet Department, FAI, National Sports Campus, Abbotstown, Dublin 15, fainet@fai.ie.

3. PROCESSING WHILE USING THE WEBSITE

When you visit our website, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to the server of our website. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected and stored until automated deletion:

• IP address of the requesting computer,

• Date and time of access,

• Name and URL of the retrieved file,

• Website from which access is made (referrer URL),

• Used browser and possibly the operating system of your computer as well.

The data mentioned is processed by us for the following purposes:

• ensuring a smooth connection of the website,

• ensuring comfortable use of our website,

• Review and ensure system security and stability as well as

• for further administrative purposes.

The legal basis for data processing is outlined in Art. 6 of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows for the aforementioned purposes of data collection. We do not use the collected data for the purpose to draw conclusions on your person.

4. PROCESSING OF THE USE OF INDIVIDUAL SERVICES VIA THE WEBSITE AND IN APPS

Various services are available on the website FOOTBALL.IE where we collect personal data from you, if you decide to use them. Below, you will find the other services and the types of processed personal data, the purpose of the processing, the legal basis and the date of deletion of the data. We also need to share your information with third parties for a variety of reasons. For information, please refer to No. 5.

4.1 FOOTBALL.IE platform and website

a) Contact form

When using the contact form, we process the following data and save it until the request has been processed:

• Surname

• E-mail address

• Subject

• message text

The mentioned data will be processed for the purpose of answering your requests. The processing is based on the legal basis of our legitimate interest. Art. 6 GDPR, because we have an interest in clarifying your questions and concerns.

b) Registration and fan profile

In order to use the FOOTBALL.IE platform and to interact with other users, it is necessary that you register. For this we collect the following data:

• First and Last Name

• Gender

• E-mail address

• Profile name and password

The data is required for the creation and design of your profile and so that you can use Football.ie e.g. to exchange information, discussion contributions, comments, photos and videos of the participants or to take part in surveys. The processing is based on Art. 6 GDPR. Further data such as place of residence, date of birth, favourite club and other data can be given voluntarily in the profile created. Here the processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Your data will be deleted as soon as you cancel your user account with us.

c) Advanced registration

You can also perform an advanced registration and be included as a player in our community. For this we need the following data:

• All the above data from your fan profile

• Your current club membership

• Date of birth

• Mobile phone number

We use your mobile phone number to protect FOOTBALL.IE and its users, in particular to ensure that you have assigned your fan profile to an extended profile (e.g. player profile) for yourself. With the extended registration e.g. as a player you can show your data from the official FAInet database (with which the FAI organize games) in your profile. With the exception of the data under d) below, you decide for yourself whether something will be published in your profile. For example, your own club history, stats from your club(s) or the stats of your team(s) are possible. 

In order to be able to carry out the extended registration as a teenager under the age of 16, we are obligated for privacy reasons to ask the guardians for permission. For this, the e-mail address of the parent or guardian is necessary, only after confirmation of the parent(s) the player profile can be unlocked on FOOTBALL.IE. The parents' e-mail address will only be saved and processed until the player profile has been activated.

d) Game report data

Electronic match reports are inputted through FAInet to support FOOTBALL.IE, the following information retrieved from match reports will be displayed on FOOTBALL.IE.

• The Players surname and first name (usually over 16 (in some cases over the age of 18) and under 16 for whom consent has been given by the legal guardian)

and

• The Team Coach surname & first name.

The above are published in the context of these match reports. You can object to the publication of your name to your club or to the FAI. You can - as soon as you set up an extended profile as a player on FOOTBALL.IE - suppress the publication of your data yourself. Game reports are a central part of FOOTBALL.IE and it is therefore in our interest that the reports are published (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

e) Advertising

Insofar as you use your data for customer service, internal customer analysis and post, e-mail or mobile phone advertising for promotions, tickets and other products (fan merchandise, literature, licensed products) and services (fan travel, training, Training courses, events) and have consented, under Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR, we will process your data for these purposes. The revocation of this consent is possible at any time here and in the account settings on www.Football.ie. Of course, you can also contact us in any other ways (eg by post) and revoke your consent.

5. DISCLOSURE OF DATA

A transfer of your personal data to third parties for purposes other than those listed below does not take place. We only share your personal information with third parties if:

a) You submit your papers pursuant to Art. 6 GDPR and have given express consent to this

b) disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 GDPR is required to assert, exercise or defend legal claims and there is no reason to assume that you have a predominantly legitimate interest in not disclosing your data,

c) in the event that disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 GDPR there is a legal obligation

d) this is legally permissible and according to Art. 6 para. 1 GDPR is required for the execution of contractual relationships with you or

e) this is done to a service provider acting on our behalf and on our exclusive instruction, whom we have carefully selected (Art. 28 (1) GDPR) and with whom we have a corresponding contract processing contract (Art. 28 (3) GDPR) who, among other things, commits our contractor to implementing appropriate security measures and gives us extensive control powers.

Transmission to service providers referred to in point (e) for the purpose of order processing shall be carried out in the following areas:

• Contact requests via contact form

• Inquiries via our service mailbox fainet@fai.ie

• Use the reporting functionality for videos, pictures, live ticker, comments

These functionalities automatically generate a ticket in the service system.

6. COOKIES

We use cookies on our site. Cookies are very small files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our site. Cookies do not harm your device, do not contain viruses, Trojans or other malicious software. The cookie information is stored, each resulting in connection with the specific terminal used. However, this does not mean that we are immediately aware of your identity. On the one hand, the use of cookies serves to make the use of our services more pleasant and functional for you. We use so-called session cookies to recognize that you have already visited individual pages of our website. These are automatically deleted after leaving our page. In addition, to improve usability, we also use temporary cookies that are stored on your device for a specified period of time. If you visit our site again to take advantage of our services, it will automatically recognize that you have already been with us and what inputs and settings you have made in order not to have to re-enter them. We set these cookies on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 GDPR, in order to make our website available to you in an appropriate manner. On the other hand, we use cookies to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer (see no. 7), to develop our offer and in particular our website. These cookies allow us to automatically recognize when you visit our site again, that you have already been with us. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined time.

7. INTEGRATION OF SOCIAL NETWORKS

We rely on our website on the basis of Art. 6 para. GDPR social networking services Facebook, Google+ and Twitter, in order to promote our association and our website in this way and to interact with our target groups. The responsibility for the privacy-compliant operation of these services is guaranteed by the respective provider. The integration of these services is carried out by us exclusively via a link, so that the visitors of our website give the best possible control over your personal data.

a) Facebook

On our website, individual content can be transmitted via the Facebook icon via a direct link to the Facebook page for processing (so-called "sharing"). If you call up an appropriate link on our website, your browser establishes a direct connection with the Facebook servers. The URL of the last visited website is then transferred directly to Facebook. This gives Facebook the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or are currently not logged in to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted from your browser directly to a Facebook server in the US and stored there. Are you logged in to Facebook? Facebook can assign the visit to our website directly to your Facebook account. Facebook may use this information for the purpose of advertising, market research and tailor-made Facebook pages. For this purpose, Facebook uses user, interest and relationship profiles, eg. For example, to evaluate your use of our website in relation to the advertisements displayed on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about your activities on our website, and to provide other services related to the use of Facebook. If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected via our website to your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before you visit our website. Facebook may use this information for the purpose of advertising, market research and tailor-made Facebook pages. For this purpose, Facebook uses user interest and relationship profiles, eg. For example, to evaluate your use of our website in relation to the advertisements displayed on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about your activities on our website, and to provide other services related to the use of Facebook. If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected via our website to your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before you visit our website.

b) Google+

On our website, individual content can be transferred via the Google + symbol via a direct link to the page of Google+ for processing (so-called "sharing"). If you visit a link on our website, a direct link will be established between your browser and the Google server. Google receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. If you click on the Google+ link while logged in to your Google Account, you can link the contents of our pages to your Google + profile. This allows Google to associate the visit of our pages with your user account. We point out that we as the provider of the pages are not aware of the content of the transmitted data and their use by Google. c) Twitter

On our website, individual content can be transmitted via the Twitter symbol via a direct link to the page of Twitter for processing there (so-called parts). If you call up a corresponding link on our website, a direct connection between your browser and the Twitter server is established. Twitter receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. If you click on the Twitter "tweet-button" while you are logged in to your Twitter account, you can link the contents of our pages to your Twitter profile. This allows Twitter to associate the visit of our pages with your user account. We point out that we as the provider of the pages are not aware of the content of the transmitted data and their use by Twitter.

8. AFFECTED RIGHTS AND RIGHT OF APPEAL

As a person concerned with the processing of personal data, you have the right:

a) in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR, to request information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you may provide information about the purposes of processing, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your information has been disclosed, the planned retention period, the right to rectification, deletion, limitation of processing or opposition, the existence of a The right to complain, the origin of your data, if it was not collected from us, as well as the existence of an automated decision-making including profiling and, if necessary, meaningful information about their details;

b) in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR, to immediately demand the correction of incorrect or completed personal data stored with us;

c) in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR, to request the deletion of your personal data stored by us, except for the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information, for the fulfilment of a legal obligation, for reasons of the public interest or for assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims;

d) to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, as far as the accuracy of the data is disputed by you. The processing is unlawful and you reject its deletion and we no longer need the data, but you assert this to exercise or defend legal claims or you have objected to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR;

e) in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR to receive your personal data that you have provided us in a structured, common and machine-readable format or to request the transfer to another person responsible and

f) to complain to a supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or work or our place of business. The supervisory authority responsible for our registered office is by the FAI, National Sports Campus, Abbotstown, Dublin 15.

9. RIGHT OF REVOCATION IN CASE OF PROCESSING ON THE BASIS OF CONSENT

If your personal data is based on a consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 GDPR, you have the right at any time to revoke your consent without giving any reason. As a result, we are not allowed to continue the data processing based on this consent for the future. However, the revocation of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation. If you would like to exercise your right of withdrawal, you will need an e-mail to datamanager@fai.ie

10. RIGHT TO OBJECT

If your personal data based on legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 GDPR is processed, you have the right to file an objection against the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR, provided there are reasons for this arising from your particular situation. If your objection to receiving direct mail is received, you have a general right of opposition; a justification is not required for these cases.

11. DATA SECURITY

Within the site visit where personal information is processed, we use the popular SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology combined with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. In general, this is a 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we'll use 128-bit v3 technology instead. Whether a single page of our website is transmitted encrypted, you can see the closed representation of the lock icon in the lower status bar of your browser. We also take appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or total loss, Destruction or protection against unauthorized access by third parties. We adapt our security measures according to the technological development on an ongoing basis.

12. UPDATING AND CHANGING THIS PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy is as of Sept 2019. Due to the evolution of our website and offers or due to changed legal or regulatory requirements, it may be necessary to change this privacy policy. The current data protection declaration can be retrieved and printed out at any time at www.football.ie
