Terms of Use:

1.1 The subject matter of these conditions is the use of the information, services and data provided by the FAI, under the domain Football.ie and in the context of technical and operational opportunities such as competition management and match reporting.

2.1 The FAI provides, under FOOTBALL.IE information, services and data around the topic of football for free. A significant part of the service offering is based on the game setup, score and match report data obtained from the proprietary database FAInet operated by The Football Association of Ireland. FOOTBALL.IE is the central football portal for amateur football, operated with the support of the FAI and its affiliates.

2.2 In addition to the information offered on www.Football.ie, the offer to participate in the    FOOTBALL.IE community is available. The FOOTBALL.IE community serves to establish contacts and social networks in the field of football. For this the user creates his/her profile. The user can change his/her profile at any time. The profile enables networking and contacting other users of the FOOTBALL.IE community. The user can post comments, send messages, manage various media (e.g. photos, videos) and share them with other users. It is also possible to upload photos and videos or post in a forum. In addition to the simple fan profile, there is the possibility to register as an active player of the football organization, e.g. as a player. This extended profile allows, after appropriate identification, the automatic publication of additional personal data in the user's profile from the FAInet database, such as personal club history or player usage statistics. The extended publications from the FAInet database require the consent of the user.

2.3 Within the scope of the technical and operational possibilities, the FAI offers the integration of tables and results of individual teams & competitions, from the game operation of the FAI, on external internet sites and thus opens up the possibility of integrating them into a private web site(widgets). Contracting parties are the FAI and the user. As a user, only consumers and clubs of the FAI are accepted. A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for a purpose that cannot be attributed to their commercial or independent professional activity. The content provided may only be used for the purpose described. Any further use of the provided content, in particular a further duplication, distribution or other commercial use and editing of the contents or parts thereof is not permitted. It is not permitted to edit the provided source code outside the locations and methods described in the documentation. The FAI is entitled to exclude the user from the use of the service in the case of serious violations of the duties incumbent on the user or justified substantial suspicions for a breach of duty. This also applies to the retrieval of content in the context of a single domain in unusually high volumes.

2.4 FAI reserves the right to change, supplement or remove the data, information and services provided on FOOTBALL.IE at any time and without notice. The user can end his/her use relationship at any time without giving reasons.

2.5 FAI reserves the right to delete inactive profiles and the associated data after a period of one month.

2.6 The user can have his/her FOOTBALL.IE community profile and the access data stored by FAI and all contents stored for this profile deleted by terminating the use of the FOOTBALL.IE community and deleting his/her name and his/her name registered e-mail address here   or performed in his/her profile itself. Content, especially public words and comments posted in forums or other contexts other than your own community profile, as well as game images and videos are not affected by the deletion. The assignments of these contents to associated profile names are resolved and anonymized.

3.1. To use the FOOTBALL.IE community you need to register a fan profile. For this an e-mail address, a profile name, first name, last name, gender as well as a password must be indicated. The user will receive an e-mail with the request for confirmation as part of the registration to the specified e-mail address. After confirmation, registration for a fan profile is complete.

3.2 For the use of an extended profile, the date of birth, current club membership and a mobile phone number are to be specified as well. The user receives a prompt in the context of the extended registration to the specified mobile number, a message including the activation number with the request to indicate this on FOOTBALL.IE. After confirmation, the registration for an extended profile (e.g. player profile) is completed. The creation of an extended profile requires the registration of a fan profile (see above). The registration of an extended profile is possible from the age of 16 years. Minors under the age of 16 will be eligible for extended registration only if the written permission of the legal guardian is confirmed by their own association through FAInet.
